In the past 70 years of IC industry, we had experience major product cycle, called “the mega trend”. These are: trend of consumer product (1970-1990), PC (1980-2010), Internet (1990-2015), Smart Phone & Cloud Computing ( 2005 – Now). The mega trend moves on, in the past 10 years, with the advancement of Moors law, Cloud Data Generation and AI Algorithm flourishes; we are entering the next mega trend with an explosive kill application – the “Digital Transformation with AI Application”.
There are 3 major domains in this mega trend: the clouds data center, the infrastructure and the Edge Computing. Service revenue shadows hardware revenue; service provider, such as GAFABAT is crazily investing into making applications in cloud and edge device. Their goal is, through enabling smart services for human, to grow revenue with service or its related. The smart service is realized by utilizing edge devices for Smart Home, Smart Medical, Smart City, Smart Car …, etc. |
